The Ambassador of France meet representatives of FIDA
On December 15, 2016, Denys Gauer, Ambassador of France in Nigeria, met four representatives from the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Nigeria.
Promoting the defense of women and children’s rights, FIDA, an international NGO, has been working in Nigeria since 1963. FIDA is present in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and in 33 of the 36 nigerian States.
The French Embassy and FIDA Nigeria have been partners for a long time and this meeting was an opportunity to renew and enhance a mutual trust.
FIDA took this opportunity to present its 2017 strategy, specifically in the FCT where FIDA would like to reinforce its activities.
In charge of Human Rights issues, the Cooperation Services of the French Embassy will work closely with FIDA in order to perpetuate a partnership which started in 2013.
